Church Openings
As you will have seen or heard in the press from govenment that churches may open for public worship, subject to stringent conditions

Following a Risk assessment submitted to and approved by the Archdeacon St Peter Calow is now open again for United Benefice Eucharist on Sundays 10am

Please be aware due to track and trace by NHS systems you will need to provide your contact details if you go into the church.

St Marys Sutton will have a risk assessment completed once the roof work has been completed in the Autumn
This information has been passed to the Arch Deacon who has  agrees with this decision.

It is expected that a decision as to the opening of churches to small groups for weddings and funerals has been made and Calow will open.
This again will be subject to stringent conditions and social distancing with limited numbers being allowed (27)
This has been agreed by the Archdeacon of Chesterfield

A prayer for all those affected by coronavirus composed by a year 6 pupil at our church school whose mum works at the Childrens Hospital

Dear God
Please help us through these mentally and physically challenging times.
We pray for knowledge to help the hard working hospital staff
We pray for comfort for lost loved ones and we pray for resilience, care and safety to get through

Following the Prime Minister’s announcement, requiring that churches must now close for public services we still are until we can move forward with the easing of lockdown

Our church buildings are therefore now closed for public worship and all other meetings and activities except for vital community services until further notice.

During this time Fr Kevin can be contacted by phone or email as per the contact us page below

Keep well, Keep safe.
